The Lauris Technologies FF1225 Series Ultrasonic Flare Gas Flow meter is designed and manufactured to provide accurate flare gas metering. In an attempt to reduce costs, lesser meter technologies that are not “Fit For Purpose” are sometimes chosen. However, these inferior solutions can lead to inaccurate flow measurements and higher maintenance costs.

The FF1225 offers precise flare gas measurement over a wide range with minimal maintenance intervention. It comes with various options, including a local or remote mount transmitter, temperature and pressure transducers, and a multi-path version that ensures flow uncertainty of better than one percent.

Both the local or remote LCD display of the FF1225 shows velocity, flow rate, total flow, temperature, and pressure. The onboard memory of the transmitter/display allows for storage of up to 250,000 data points, with the total data stored dependent on the sample rate programmed by the user.

Based on proprietary ultrasonic transit-time measurement, the FF1225 has a minimum detectable gas velocity of lower than 0.01 m/s (0.03 ft/sec). It has a maximum velocity measurement capability of 100 m/sec (330 ft/sec) standard and 150 m/sec (500 ft/sec) optional, providing turndowns of 10,000:1 through to 15,000:1.

Key features of the FF1225 include the lowest minimum detectable velocity, no pressure drop, totalized flow, flow rate, a wide range of metallurgy options, and a variety of pressure rating Qs.
