Time Travel or Illusion? Satellite-Like Object Found in Centuries-Old Painting

Art enthusiasts have recently discovered what appears to be a satellite in a 400-year-old Painting of Jesus Christ called “Glorification of the Eucharist” by Ventura Salimbeni from 1595. The painting depicts the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, with an unexpected addition in the background – a blue sphere with spikes sticking out of it. Some have suggested that it resembles Sputnik, the first satellite to orbit the Earth in 1957.

Steve Mera, chairman of the Manchester Association of Paranormal Investigation & Training (MAPIT), has noted a possible link between religious connotations and UFO phenomena. However, experts believe the sphere and spikes in the painting represent the celestial sphere or the universe, symbolizing God’s power.

While it is unlikely that Salimbeni had any knowledge of Sputnik, this discovery has intrigued conspiracy theorists who consider it a potential case of time travel. Nevertheless, the prevailing explanation remains that the painting’s imagery is symbolic rather than prophetic.
