In 2015, Russian billionaire Yuri Milner announced the Breakthrough Listen initiative, a $100 million, 10-year commitment to fund SETI research. This investment has enabled the SETI project to expand its observational capabilities and increase the scope of its search for signals from other worlds.

As the SETI project continues its quest to answer one of humanity’s most profound questions – are we alone in the universe? – it is clear that the search for extraterrestrial intelligence is more than just a scientific endeavor. It is a reflection of our innate curiosity and desire to understand our place in the cosmos.
