Chinese phone maker Doogee is expected to launch new rugged phones, tablets, and smartphones next month, and we just got the detailed specs and images of one of the more interesting among them. Dubbed Doogee V Max, it will come with a solid specs sheet and a battery of unprecedented size.

The Doogee V Max will sport a 6.58" FullHD+ 120Hz IPS screen with Gorilla Glass protection and a notch for the 32MP selfie camera (Sony IMX616, 90° FOV). Its back panel will have a leather-like finish and a design heavily inspired by the Vertu phones of yesteryear.

The triple camera system on the rear comprises a 108MP primary (Samsung S5KHM2SP03), 20MP Night Vision (Sony IMX350), and 16MP ultrawide units. The last one will have a 130° FOV and autofocus to let you capture macro shots. These shooters are flanked by two flashes on the left side and two infrared night vision lights on the right side.

The Doogee V Max will have the Dimensity 1080 SoC under the hood with 12GB of RAM (virtually expandable up to 19GB) and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage expandable via TF cards. The smartphone will run Android 12 out of the box, but it's unclear how many OS upgrades it will get.

That said, the biggest highlight of the Doogee V Max is its whopping 22,000 mAh battery, which will charge through a USB-C port at up to 33W. Once launched, it will likely take the crown for the smartphone with the largest battery from Oukitel WP19 rugged smartphone that packs a 21,000 mAh cell.

We are told the Doogee V Max with its 22,000 mAh cell will have 6-10 days of endurance on "normal use," 100 hours of calling, or 64 days of standby. A phone with that big a battery is bound to be chunky, and the Doogee V Max will be 27.3mm thick. We don't know how heavy it will be, but we bet the answer is "very."

The rest of the Doogee V Max's highlights include NFC (with Google Pay support), a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and 5G connectivity. Additionally, the V Max will sport a customizable key on its left-side and come with IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certifications. It also conforms to the High-Res Audio standards defined by the Japan Audio Association.

The Doogee V Max will be offered in Sunshine Gold, Classic Black, and Moonshine Silver colors. We don't know how much the Doogee V Max will cost, but you can expect Doogee to begin its promo campaign soon.
