R'Bonney Gabriel, Miss USA, was crowned Miss Universe 2023 at the pageant held on January 15th. The event took place in Eilat, Israel.

Gabriel, a 28-year-old from New York, beat out 83 other contestants from around the world to take the title. In her final interview, Gabriel spoke about the importance of representation and inclusivity in the pageant industry and her desire to use her platform to amplify the voices of marginalized communities.

"I am honored and humbled to have been chosen as Miss Universe 2023," Gabriel said in her acceptance speech. "I know that with this title comes great responsibility, and I am ready to take on the challenge of being a role model and advocate for change."

During the competition, Gabriel impressed the judges with her poise and confidence, as well as her stunning evening gown and bikini body. She also showcased her talents in the talent portion of the pageant, performing a contemporary dance routine to Beyoncé's "Run the World (Girls)."

Miss Universe 2023 marks the 69th edition of the Miss Universe pageant, which began in 1952. The pageant aims to promote women's empowerment and serve as a platform for women to advocate for the issues that matter most to them.

As Miss Universe 2023, Gabriel will spend the next year traveling the world, representing the Miss Universe organization and working to advance her chosen causes. She will also have the opportunity to meet with leaders and celebrities from around the globe.

The pageant was also won by Miss Mexico, Miss Dominican Republic and Miss Puerto Rico as the first, second and third runners-up, respectively.
