The gameplay trailer unveiled during the Playstation Showcase offered us a first look at Peter Parker wearing the Symbiote suit, which indicates we’ll have quests retelling one of the best Spider-Man stories. For those who aren’t familiar with the spider’s universe, this suit is in fact an alien, and it slowly takes control of Spidey, altering his mood and pushing him to the limits of his moral compass. 

When the symbiote finds Eddie Brock after Peter manages to get rid of it, it becomes Venom, one of the spider’s greatest foes, and one that almost killed him several times. So, we may have to fight Venom during the game. For now, we saw the suit in action and it gave out a real sense of power. Spidey isn’t just fighting, he’s crushing his enemies four at a time with impressive attacks.

Then, the trailer switches to Miles Morales, and the two characters play very differently. Miles is smaller, but faster, more agile and he has electrical powers. He’s clearly designed for stealth, with his invisibility, the possibility to use webs to create bridges and capture enemies with it. Peter appears more powerful, and more muscular, while Miles can’t quickly get overwhelmed by enemies.
