The Trailer Of James Cameron's avatar: the way of water will run exclusively in cinemas with Benedict Cumberbatch starrer Marvel's Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness.
After a long wait and several delays , the official title of James Cameron's Avatar sequel was announced by Disney at CinemaCon 2022 in Las Vegas . Now known as Avatar : The Way of Water , the markes also unveiled the first trailer of the highly-anticipated biggie at the event .
Doctor Strange sequel will be released worldwide on May 6. This means that the teaser trailer of Avatar 2 will be shared with the fans on that day. Online , it will release a week later . Both Avatar and Marvel Studios are Disney properties and it makes total s nse for the makers to use the the much-awaited Doctor Strange sequel to build the hype for Avatar 2 , which will be released on December 16 later this year .
Avatar 2 cast includes returning cast Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana. Actors Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Oona Chaplin, David Thewlis and Vin Diesel are the new additions.
An official synopsis has been released by Disney . It reads: "Set more than a decade after the events of the first film , Avatar: The Way Of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake , Neytiri, and their Kids), the trouble that follows them,the lengths they go to keep each other safe , the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure .
Producer Jon Landau, who all the way came from New Zealand to make the Disney presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, said,"One of the strengths of Jim Cameron's scripts is they are always universal and relatable themes that the weaves into them."
"At the centre of each of the four sequels will be Sully family . Each story will be a stand-alone and each will come to its own conclusion," he added . There will be a "fulfilling resolution to each film, but when looked at as a whole the journey across all four will create a larger epic saga."
The majority of Avatar 2 takes place in and around the sea . Special technology has been designed and developed to film the live-action sequences underwater .
