Today in China, Honor has introduced a brand new midrange smartphone dubbed Honor Play 8T. The Play 8T serves as both a successor to the Honor Play 7T (which arrived this year in March) and the first member of the Honor Play 8 family.

The Play 8T comes in at 1099 CNY (~Rs 12,500) for its lowest-end model while its top variant sells for 1,299 CNY (~Rs 14,800).
Speaking of colour options, this device is available in three colour choices, namely Black, Silver, and Green.
Honor Play 8T Specifications and Features
Starting with display specifications, the Honor Play 8T features a massive 6.8-inch front panel that supports FHD+ resolution and has a peak brightness of 850 nits. Its display refreshes at 90Hz.
Powering a device is a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor which is backed up with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Thanks to an extra 8GB of virtual RAM as processes such as multitasking and running of heavy apps and gaming have been made easy.
Regarding the storage space, despite the model one chooses, the storage size in 8GB and 12GB models is still the same (256GB). Also, unlike other midrange phones, the handset does not offer room for external storage expansion.
The Honor Play 8T features a 6,000mAh battery which supports up to 35W of rapid wired charging.
There is an 8MP selfie snapper on the front which supports up to 1080p video recording and a dual rear camera setup which consists of a 50MP wide camera and a 2MP depth camera.
Biometrically, you can unlock this device by either using a fingerprint sensor, which is mounted on the side of the phone, or a front camera.
Also, the Play 8T runs on Magic OS 7.2 which is developed based on Android 13.
