Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Processor Announced; Revealed To Power Upcoming Redmi Note 13 Series Phone: The US-based semiconductor manufacturer Qualcomm has introduced its latest chipset known as Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.

Like other Snapdragon 7 series processors, this one is also intended to power the majority of the 5G mid-tier smartphones and other hand-held devices such as tablets.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Processor: Features and Specifications
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is an octa-core processor which is based on a 4nm architecture. Its octa-core comprises 4 cores which are based on Cortex A78 architecture clocking at 2.4GHz and 4 cores based on Cortex A55 architecture running at up to 1.95GHz.
For better graphics, the chipset relies on to Adreno 710 GPU. It features LPDDR5 memory with a maximum speed of data transfer of 3.2GHz and an ultrafast UFS 4.0 storage system.
Speaking of display specifications, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 supports up to FHD+ with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
In terms of connectivity, the chipset integrates the Qualcomm Fastconnect 6700 system and Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System, both offering up to 3.0Gbps maximum speed of download via WiFi and 5G, respectively. It also supports Bluetooth 5.2.
Additionally, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor supports up to 200MP camera and 4K video recording at 30 framerates per second.
Which Phones Will Use This?
We expect to see quite a good number of budget midrange smartphones running on this chipset launching starting from this quarter until next year. But so far, Redmi has confirmed that it has already used this chipset for its upcoming smartphone from the Redmi Note 13 series.
So far, we can confirm the Redmi Note 13 Pro will be the first smartphone ( or the first device) to come equipped with this chipset.
