A new rumour has emerged claiming that Microsoft has a plan to make new folding smartphones with a design inspired by Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold.
This rumour not only revealed the details about the design but also shared when this new Microsoft foldable could be launching: It is said that Microsoft is planning on releasing this folding smartphone in the next two years.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Inspired Microsoft Foldable: Possible Specifications
Despite the fact that there have not been any rumours concerning the key specifications of the device yet, we can still make some predictions about this book-style foldable since we know the device will be based on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold smartphone.
Design And Display Details
The new Microsoft foldable will join the large family of in-ward folding smartphones, which isn’t just occupied by the Samsung Galaxy Z Folds but also some other foldables from other smartphone brands such as Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, Honor Magic V2, Google Pixel Fold, Oppo Find N2, and Tecno Phantom V Fold just to name a few.
Diving to displays, the Microsoft Fold could come equipped with two larger screens with the main or inner screen measuring around 7.6 inches while the outer screen measuring around 6 inches. Microsoft could use OLED technology for both screens of its upcoming foldable.
And also even though both screens could feature the highest refresh rates, the inner screen is highly likely to have higher resolution than the outer screen.

As far as the battery is concerned the Microsoft Fold could house a battery ranging 4400mAh to 5000mAh.
Just like the new foldables, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold inspired Microsoft foldable could include a wide range of fast charging technologies such as wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Cameras
Two selfie cameras are expected in this device: one could be an under-display camera that will be placed under the main display and the other come be placed on the outer screen of the foldable.
On the rear, there will be a triple camera system made up of an ultrawide camera, a wide-angle camera and a telephoto lens.
Processing
Just like most golfing smartphones, the upcoming Microsoft Fold is expected to come preloaded with the Android system.
Also, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold inspired Microsoft foldable could feature a Snapdragon 8 series chipset. It could either be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC or a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor depending on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon rollout schedule.
What Else Do We Know?
It is still unclear if this is the route Micrososot has decided to take in order to revive its Microsoft Duo series or if this Samsung Galaxy Z Fold inspired Microsoft foldable will be a completely new smartphone and could belong in its separate smartphone line.
