Oppo Find N3 Flip Debuts In China; World’s First Triple-camera Flip Smartphone: The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has made official one of the most awaited flip phones dubbed Oppo Find N3 Flip.

The Oppo Find N3 Flip’s arrival comes just about nine months after the company made an official announcement of its first vertical foldable, the Oppo Find N2 Flip.

And it is also worth noting that, unlike last year, this time around Oppo’s Flip smartphone has had its own launch event as according to several sources, the company’s upcoming book-style Oppo Find N3 could arrive later this year.

Starting with displays, the Oppo Find N3 comes equipped with two displays: the first one or the main display measures about 6.8 inches while the secondary display measures around 3.2 inches.

Both displays use OLED technologies, but in terms of smoothness, picture quality and brightness, there are visible differences between these screens.

The 6.8″ primary display (or inner display) has a resolution of FHD+ (2520 x 1080 pixels) and a peak brightness of 1600nits. The panel also runs at up to 120Hz and supports an adaptive refresh rate of between 1 to 120Hz.

Moving on to the external display or secondary screen, this 3.2″ panel refresh at 60Hz. Unlike the inner screen, it does not support an adaptive refresh rate. The panel has a resolution of 720 x 382 pixels and a peak brightness of 900nits.

Cameras

Unlike the original Find N Flip, the latest Oppo Find N3 Flip comes with a refreshed design on the rear. It has a circular camera bump sitting beside the 3.2-inch secondary display.

The circular camera module is home to three cameras, a wide-angle camera, an ultrawide camera and a telephoto lens. And all these cameras use Sony sensors.

Starting with a primary camera, the wide-angle camera uses a Sony IMX890 mobile sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels. It has an aperture of f/1.8 and a focal length of 24mm. Additionally, this lens supports optical image stabilization and multidirectional PDAF.

The ultrawide camera has a resolution of 48 megapixels. The camera uses an IMX581 mobile sensor. It has an aperture of f/2.2, a focal length of 14mm and an angle of vision of 114˚ making it capable of shooting group photos easily.

The telephoto lens is a 32MP Sony IMX705 sensor. It has an aperture of f/2.0 and a focal length of 47mm, And just like an ultra-wide lens, this telephoto lens does not support optical image stabilization but shares one of the features available in the primary camera: PDAF.

Both camera systems support 4k recording at 30 frame rates per second. When it comes to zoom capability, the telephoto camera added to the rear camera setup offers support for up to 2x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom.

Battery Details

The Oppo Find N3 Flip has a 4300mAh battery with support for up to 44 watts of rapid wired charging. Based on the company’s website, using this 44W fast charging technology, you can power up the battery from 0 to 50% charge in just 25 minutes.

There is no support for either of the wireless charging technologies (wireless charging and reverse wireless charging). But, still, this vertical foldable offers support for reverse wired charging via OTG just like the majority of the Oppo phones including the original Find N2 Flip.

Performance

As far as performance goes, the Oppo Find N3 Flip draws power from the premium 4nm processor known as MediaTek Dimensity 9200. The Dimensity 9200 SoC is backed with 12GB of LPDD5x memory and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Also, the Find N3 Flip comes preloaded with ColorOs 13.2 which is based on Android 13.

Colour And Storage Varinats

The Find N3 comes in three flavours, namely Astral Black, Moonlit Gold, and Mist Rose. And when it comes to storage options, the foldable is available in two options, 12GB+ 1256GB and 12GB + 512GB.

More Details

This clamshell smartphone supports a wide range of connectivity options. It has dual-SIM support and can connect to 5G networks for fast internet speeds. It also supports Wi-Fi 7, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity.

Additionally, the Oppo Find N3 Flip comes with a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security and like all premium Oppo and OnePlus devices, this foldable features an alert slider.

Starting with the base model, the company is charging you around 6799 Yuan for this model. This is around $933 in the US or Rs 77,120 in India.

For the top-ranging model, the Find X6 Pro maker charges you around 7599 Yuan (~Rs 86,200; ~$1,050).

This device is expected to hit the market starting on September 8th, 2023.
