After a long wait and so many rumours and leaks concerning the new Meta platform finally, Instagram has officially unveiled “Threads”.

The “Threads”, which is mostly a spin-off of Instagram, is simply a text-based social network which is geared towards internet users–mostly Instagram users– who love to share their thoughts, beliefs, opinions and feelings in terms of words (in most cases) rather than pictures, videos, or audio clips. To the majority, this is also considered to be Mark Zuckerberg’s answer to Elon’s Twitter which is currently the most used microblogging website.

As per a report from Instagram, Instagram’s Twitter-like social network is reported to support up to 500 characters in a single post, link sharing as well as media (photos and videos) sharing. You can share up to 5-minute-long videos on the platform.

Threads: Does My Device Support It?

As of the moment, this platform is only available in 100 countries globally and Android and iOS users can access the platform after downloading the official application from the either Playstore or Appstore based on the device you are using.

Moreover, this platform is expected to be available in more countries in the near future as well as more platforms apart from Android and iOS.
