iPhone SE 4 Cancelled, No Longer Expected To Launch in 2024

According to tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the California-based tech giant Apple has scrapped plans to release the next SE phone in 2024, as previously reported.

iPhone S4

The Iphone SE 4, or iPhone SE 2024 as some people would have called it, was claimed to be coming with tons of upgrades compared to its predecessor, including a new design, battery cameras, and a more powerful chipset. Also according to him, the now-cancelled iPhone SE 4 phones were in the company’s plan to be the first iPhones to be equipped with Apple’s in-house 5G chipset ahead of the company’s high-end phones.

As per early rumours, the iPhone SE 4’s design was said to be inspired by Apple’s 2018 phone, iPhone XR. So we expected it to come with a 6.1-inch display with face ID, a 12MP rear camera and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Its predecessor came out with the Apple Bionic A15 chipset, so we expected it to be coming with a more powerful chipset than that, most likely the A16 Bionic chipset, which as of the moment powers the Pro models of the iPhone 15 lineup.

So, Will Apple be Launching iPhone SE 4 in 2025, instead?

As of now, it is still unclear if we are supposed to wait for a little bit longer for the iPhone SE 4 or company has already decided to kill its “SE” line. But this could also be the new company’s strategy planned in order to increase the sales of the low-end iPhone models, the base model and the Plus models, as they have been performing very lowly in the market compared to the Pro and Plus models.
