The new Redmi Note series phones are on the way: According to the company, the Redmi Note 12 series will be made official on October 27th,2022. The launch event is scheduled to be held in China. The regular Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ are expected to be members of the Redmi Note 12 lineup.

But according to the rumours, the Redmi Note 12 lineup could include four models instead of three: the regular Redmi Note 12, two Pro models, the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+, and also the Redmi Note 12 Pro Extreme Edition.

The entire Redmi Note 12 lineup is expected to be equipped with fast charging technology: Starting with the standard model, Redmi Note 12, which has been confirmed to support up to 67W fast wired charging; Redmi Note 12 Pro is expected to support up to 120W fast wired charging; the top-of-the-range model, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is rumoured to be coming with 210W fast charging support which will make it to become the world’s first phone to debut with 210W fast charging technology.

The details of the primary camera of the Redmi Note 12 Pro have been confirmed by the brand through its weibo page: the handset will sport a 50mp Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS. We still do not know the details of the other two cameras that will accompany the 50mp shooter, but we are most likely to see common two auxiliary cameras, an 8mp ultrawide camera and a 2mp macro camera.

Recently there have been some rumours that a 200mp camera might also be coming to this new Redmi Note series, but it is still unclear which model will be using that sensor. But since the primary camera sensor on the Pro model has already been confirmed by the brand and there is zero possibility of it t be included in the standard model then we expect to see the 200mp sensor on either Redmi Note 12 Pro+model or the Redmi Note 12 Pro Edition.

As per rumours, the only model from the Redmi Note 12 lineup that will use the flat display is a Redmi Note 12, others, the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+, are expected to come with curved displays.

The Redmi Note 12 Pros are expected to draw power from the recently-launched Media Tek Dimensity 1080 SoC with a maximum clock speed of 2.6GHz.

Most other details of these phones are still not known but since the launch event is just a couple of days away, we expect to see the company make confirmations on some details of the Redmi Note 12 series phones before it officially launches them.
