Nevera Styling Cues

For those lucky enough to be on the list for the new Rimac Nevera, the factory is assembling them now, and the first customer has taken delivery of VIN 001!

This car truly redefines EV performance. It will film you driving the track, while its actually self-driving a programmed course! It will even overlay your stats in the footage!

I’ve got to mention something that has bugged me a little bit. The first few times I looked, I could not unsee this. I had to take another look at the Nevera and i8 side-by-side.

If you clicked on the image, you’ve already seen the similarities between the Nevera and the BMW i8. The taillights definitely, but also the rear fenders and some of the rear lines.

There are differences, of course. The i8 is a plug-in hybrid with a sluggish 0-60. The Nevera is a ground-up EV race car. At the end of the day, I think it is safe to say that there are borrowed styling cues.

No creative work is truly original when you factor in all of the influences an inspirations. Rimac has truly created an original masterpiece that has me asking one question. How will it compare to the 2nd generation Tesla Roadster?
