MANILA, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- The military said on Monday that an army soldier has been killed in a Clash between Philippine troops and Rebels in Nueva Ecija province.
The clash occured between troops and at least 10 New People's Army (NPA) rebels in Laur town on central Luzon island last Sunday.
The insurgents fled after the fighting, which lasted for around 30 minutes, the military said.
