These wraps, available for purchase through Tesla's online shop and smartphone app, provide Tesla owners the opportunity to change the color of their vehicles without resorting to a full repaint.

What makes these color wraps unique is their construction. Tesla opted for a self-healing urethane-based film, offering more than just a fresh coat of paint. This film is not just for aesthetics; it provides essential protection against chips, scratches, and swirling, ensuring that your electric vehicle retains its pristine condition even after a color transformation.

Tesla's selection includes seven striking colors, each designed to make your Model 3 or Model Y stand out on the road. The available colors are Satin Ceramic White, Slip Grey, Satin Stealth Black, Satin Rose Gold, Glacier Blue, Forest Green, and Crimson Red. While these colors are bound to turn heads, they do come at a price. The first three options are priced at $7,500 each, while the remaining four come at $8,000 each.

It's essential to note that the purchase price covers both the materials and professional installation, but the installation won't happen at the factory. Instead, it will occur at Tesla Service Centers, and at the moment, only two locations in Southern California offer this service: West Covina and Carlsbad.

Installing these color wraps is not an instantaneous process. Tesla suggests that the installation may take five to seven business days, starting from the drop-off date of your vehicle. Unfortunately, no loaner vehicles are provided during this period, so owners need to plan accordingly.

In addition to the premium color wraps, Tesla also offers an option for a clear wrap, which costs $5,000 per vehicle. This wrap comes in both gloss and satin finishes, offering an alternative solution for protecting the car's factory paint color from chips and scratches while allowing it to shine through. It's important to note that the clear wrap does not cover the door jambs, but the color wrap does.

It's important to mention that these premium color wraps are exclusive to 2023 or newer Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. Additionally, customers need to have version 4.23.0 or newer of the Tesla app to be able to make these unique customizations via their smartphone.
