Marvel Studios sets to release more movies as the studio team has many things planned out. The Marvel Studios has been actively announcing new projects with release dates and others still in development, making MCU’s (Marvel Cinematic Universe) phase five and six almost complete. As Marvel fans, we are really excited about the upcoming movies. Below you will find a list of Marvel’s upcoming movies that will be released soon.
Deadpool and Wolverine
Release Date: July 26, 2024
Deadpool officially became part of Marvel Studios after Disney acquired Fox. Ryan Reynolds is now a part of the MCU and will return in Deadpool 3 as a parody character entertainingly and consistently according to Deadpool’s nature. The Deadpool 3 movie teaser has shown the return of Hugh Jackman, replaying his iconic role as Wolverine.
In the storyline, Wolverine meets the loudmouth Deadpool while recovering from his injuries, and they team up to defeat their common enemy. Other characters include Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Owen Wilson, Wendy Molyneux, Brianna Hildebrand, and Leslie Uggams, to name a few.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Release Date: 2024
This series was initially titled Spider-Man: Freshman Year, and its first season is set for release in 2024. This animated series follows Peter Parker’s origin story and his early days as Spider-Man.
Norman Osborn guides Parker rather than Tony Stark. Charlie Cox replays Matt Murdock’s character. Other characters include Otto Octavius as Doctor Octopus, Mac Gargan as Scorpion, Nico Minoru, and Dr. Stephen Strange.
Daredevil: Born Again
Release Date: 2025
Charlie Cox, as Matt Murdock, is set to return in Daredevil: Born Again in a lead role as a man without fear. He will likely continue from where the Netflix series storyline left off with Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, who will be his torment, Debora Ann Well (as Karen Page), Elden Henson (as Foggy Nelson), and Jon Bernthal (as the Punisher). The series directors are Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, David Boyd, and Micheal Cuesta.
Ironheart
Release Date: 2025
The Ironheart series features a teenager, Dominique Thorne (as Riri Williams), who becomes a great inventor after Tony Stark passes away. She invents her armor suit, which she uses to correct the world’s wrongs.
Anthony Ramos (as The Hood) takes the role of a primary Villain. Other characters are Zoe Terakes (as Blood Sibling), Alden Ehrenreich, Manny Montana, Lyric Ross, Harper Anthony, and Sacha Cohen (as Mephisto).
Captain America: Brave New World
Release Date: February 14, 2025
Captain America: Brave New World was formerly named New World Order and was announced in 2022. Sam Wilson accepted the duty of being the new Captain America during ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ events.
Brave New World might focus on the delusions that overwhelmed the world during the Secret Invasion, where everyone turned into a vigilante to hunt and kill the Skrulls, acknowledging President Ritson’s call. The new Captain America is going to be busy with that event.
The movie is directed by Julius Onah and written by Dalan Musson, Mathew Orton, and Malcolm Spellman. Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford, Rosa Salazar, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake, among others, are part of the cast.
Thunderbolts
Release Date: May 2, 2025
Thaddeus Ross (Thunderbolt) will form his task force called the Thunderbolts as he is likely to become the new president in Captain America: Brave New World. The Thunderbolts movies will summarize MCU’s phase five as the final movie and project in Marvel Studios’ calendar.
Thunderbolts movie storyline features a task force of anti-heroes and former villains. The movie is directed by Jake Schreier and written by Lee Sung Jin, Eric Pearson, and Joanna Calo.
The cast includes Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Florence Pugh (as Yelena Belova), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Wyatt Russell (as U.S. Agent), Harrison Ford (as Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’), Hannah John-Kamen (as Ghost) among many other familiar characters.
Fantastic Four
Release Date: July 25, 2025
Marvel Studios reacquired the rights to the Fantastic Four after Disney acquired Fox. Fantastic Four has always been among Marvel’s most important superhero groups.
Due to the recent delays, the new Fantastic Four movies may not begin MCU’s phase five, and it’s most likely to be in phase six, allowing us to see the inclusion of Marvel’s first family in the MCU event since the multiverse will be crucial in the plot line advancing. Also, the MCU will include the Fantastic Four in its future events, especially in Avengers: Secret Wars and Avengers 5.
The full foursome will be played by Vanessa Kirby (as Invisible Woman), Pedro Pasca (Mister Fantastic), Joseph Quinn (as Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (as Thing). The movie’s director is Matt Shakman, and the writers are Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer.
Blade
Release Date: November 7, 2025
Blade, the favorite vampire-hunting character, will return to the screens in 2025. Besides knowing Mahershala Ali will be playing Blade, we do not know anything else about the upcoming Blade, which makes it an exciting movie to wait for.
The production of Blade was put on hold for a while as Ali was not content with the script. The release date changed from 2023 to 2025.
The writers of this movie are Stacy Osei-Kuffour, Gene Colan, and Micheal Green, while the director is Yann Demange. Other characters include Mia Goth, Delroy Lindo, Aaron Pierre, and Milan Ray, among others.
Avengers 5
Release Date: May 1, 2026
Avengers 5, initially named Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, was announced in July 2022. Initially, the director was Destin Daniel Cretton, who exited in November 2023, and Jeff Loveness was the writer, who Micheal Waldron later replaced.
In December 2023, Jonathan Majors got fired from Kang the Conqueror role, and the initial filming plans in the United Kingdom in early 2024 were delayed. Avenger 5 characters still need to be confirmed, and the storyline still needs to be clarified regarding the many changes made in the Avenger film.
Avengers: Secret Wars
Release Date: May 7, 2027
Avengers: Secret Wars will be released a year after Avengers 5, and it will likely be the end of phase six and the entire multiverse history. Little is known about the storyline of Secret Wars as Beyonder transports Earth’s powerful heroes and villains to fight in a world created only for battles.
There is a possibility that Secret Wars will feature all the characters, including the Avengers, X-men, and Fantastic Four, working together. Micheal Waldron will be the screenplay writer.
Other upcoming Marvel movies whose release dates are to be announced (TBA) include What If…? Season 3, Wonder Man, Eyes of Wakanda, Armor Wars, Marvel Zombies, and Vision Quest.
