In the induction program of this batch which started with 100 students, Harilal B. Menon, Vice-Chancellor of Goa University drew attention to the special disease spreading in Goa. He said that a Mysterious Kidney Disease is spreading especially in North Goa. In such a situation, students of Ayurveda should do research on the health problems related to Goa.

He said that there is a need for research in India so that people do not have to look towards western countries for evidence in the coming times. At the All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa, students should focus on the health problems and diseases associated with Goa and do research on those diseases. Citing the example of a mysterious kidney disease prevalent in North Goa, he said that many such diseases are found in North Goa and their treatment would be possible only after thorough research on them.

Ayush Visa will start soon
On the other hand, regarding this sprawling 50-acre Ayurveda campus spread over in the Dhargal area of ​​Pernem taluka of North Goa, Shripad Yesso Naik also said that the farmers of the state of Goa have generously given their lands for the All India Institute of Ayurveda so that better health can be achieved in the state. facilities can be obtained. Soon a facility like Ayush Visa is going to start here, which will work to promote medical value tourism in the coming times.

Professor (Dr.) Sujata Kadam, Dean of the sub-centre of All India Institute of Ayurveda, said that this sub-centre would emerge as a green campus and no plastic would be used here. Modern technology and modern medical equipment will also be used for the area here.
