Increasing the medical value of tourism, now tourists will get a chance to take advantage of Ayurveda and Yoga and other medical facilities of AYUSH at the place of their stay.
Ministry of AYUSH and India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), Ministry of Tourism have recently entered into an agreement. Under which the Ministry of AYUSH will sensitize and train ITDC officials about the medical value of travel in Ayurveda and other traditional systems of medicine. Not only this, it will also identify tourist circuits where Ayurveda and other traditional systems of medicine have immense scope for promoting medical value travel and will provide all technical know-how to ITDC from time to time.

At the same time, on the suggestion of the Ministry of AYUSH, ITDC will include historical heritage sites of Indian systems of medicine such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Homeopathy, Unani, Siddha etc. in tourist places under Knowledge Tourism and will also work to develop films or literature useful for tourists. . It is interesting that work will also be done on the establishment of Ayurveda and Yoga centers in hotels run by ITDC and workshops will also be organized. In such a situation, the tourists staying in the hotels will be able to get the facility of Ayurveda etc.
Facility will be available like Singapore, Thailand
During this monitoring of this facility for tourists will be done by Joint Working Group (JWG), JWG will also identify the best practices being adopted for tourism in countries like Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, so that they can establish themselves as medical value travel. To be promoted as the best and preferred destination for tourism.
