REVIEW ‘Rangbaaz Season 3’: ‘Rangbaaz: Darr Ki Politics’ recently released on ZEE5, which is the third season of this web series. In just 6 episodes, the story of a Bahubali from Bihar has been shown, who first showed his influence in the politics of the state and then in the country’s politics, but was duped in the end. To tell this story is based on the characters of Bihar’s leader Mohammad Shahabuddin, Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar, but the web series is written in such an interesting way that even fictional events have been seen to entertain the audience.

This is the third season of the ‘Rangbaaz’ series. In the first season, the story of Shri Prakash Shukla, a dreaded gangster from Uttar Pradesh was shown. A simple boy who goes to avenge the molestation of his sister and accidentally kills a man with a bullet fired from his gun. Because of that mistake, how a simple boy became the target of the police special task force, why his actions went against the law, how politicians took advantage of his intelligence and muscle power and when Mr. He was put to death.

The second season of Rangbaaz was inspired by the character of Rajasthan’s most wanted Anandpal Singh. Jimmy Shergill played his best acting role in this. The third season stars the extremely talented Vineet Kumar in the lead role. The innocence of his face, his art of always keeping emotions under control and his skill of not revealing the nature of the mind with his face, Vineet has done well. This series is worth watching. Compared to other crime web series, it has more credibility and less abuses.

Crime means that the formula of most films and web series made on crime is almost set. An ordinary man has to pick up a gun under circumstance and he kills his harasser. Before this, the feeling of atonement surrounds him, step by step he gets entangled in the quagmire of crime and politics goes on playing with his life under the guise of giving him protection. When his usefulness is out or his existence becomes a threat to the life and career of the leaders, then he is killed by the police or the special task force. This season of Rangbaaz is the story of Shah Ali Bag in Dhiwan village of Bihar. A believer in love, a college student, who considers his friend the most, Shah Ali Bag gets into the business of real estate and gradually becomes powerful. His fast-moving steps bring him to the infamous and eminent mass leader of Bihar, Lakhan Rai (acting powerhouse Vijay Maurya). On the instigation of Lakhan Rai, Shah Ali does everything on the strength of the bag gun, which is useful to keep the political credibility and chair of Lakhan Rai.

Although Shah Ali Bag is very dear to justice, but the item of power and the intoxication of power, which is not done, is less. When his childhood best friend studies from Delhi and becomes a candidate of the Communist Party, Lakhan Rai gets him killed in view of his growing supremacy so that Shah Ali continues to dominate. Politics takes the life of his friend, Shah Ali is sorry but he cannot atone. Lakhan Rai continues to become the Chief Minister of Bihar and Shah Ali keeps trying to save his politics and chair by all means right and wrong. In these wrong deeds, many times innocent people are also killed through him. In the end, Lakhan Rai sacrifices Shah Ali’s political career to save his chair. Saddened by this deception, Shah Ali nevertheless helps Lakhan Rai to dismiss all the cases against him. The day Shah Ali is about to be released from prison, another innocent criminal father kills him in prison to avenge the murder of his sons.

This series gets its power from its writing. Writer Siddharth Mishra has done wonders for the third consecutive season. The script and dialogues of this season are better than the first two seasons in any way. Due to the tight script, less episodes have been worked out. In Dhiwan, the story of Shah Ali’s transformation from college student to Bahubali has not been given much attention, so that the mistake of glorifying the crime has not been made. The mistakes that undermine the script of the first and second seasons of Rangbaaz are completely missing from this season. Instead of becoming Bahubali, this time the emphasis has been on Shah Ali’s personal life and the good events of that life. The visual arrangement is also in such a way that the violence is not tried to be lit but the dreaded incidents have been filmed in a very modest way so that there is no reason for anyone to follow it. There is a lot of glorification of crime in the web series Mirzapur but this season of Rangbaaz is completely logical. In the very first scene, Shah Ali uses his power for inter-caste marriage to force the boy and the girl’s parents to say yes. When they do love in college, Manohar discusses Shyam Joshi’s novels in front of Sana (Akanksha Singh). Such a form of love performance has been seen after many days.

Vineet Kumar cannot be praised. It seems that he is Shah Ali. His approach is totally different. He hasn’t got a chance to act like this before. His house is attacked by dozens of policemen, then along with his comrades, he also takes up machine guns and attacks the police in reverse, but seeing his wife and younger son scared, he surrenders in a way. Vineet has made me cry in that scene. Akanksha Singh plays his wife Sana, who was recently seen in Ajay Devgn’s film Runway 34 and Disney Hotstar’s web series Escape Live. Vineet and Akanksha’s love story is not as trivial as it seems to the audience. Sana comes to know that her husband Shah Lee has become a bahubali, on this basis he has become an MLA and then also an MP, but she understands her husband and he has to leave all this for the future of his child. Says but does not quarrel for it. Even when Shah Ali is jailed and cannot contest elections, she contests as his proxy candidate, wins and threatens Lakhan Rai about all the independent MLAs. Such characters are not usually seen. Sana has been made practical not cunning and when she goes in front of Lakhan Rai, she doesn’t appear to be kayanya or crooked or trickster.

It is a proper noun to call Vijay Maurya a powerhouse of talent. Although Vijay has come to films from the world of theater, but he plays selectively. Vijay directs ad films for his livelihood. So far more than 150 ad films have been made. He was in the role of Dawood Ibrahim in Anurag Kashyap’s 2004 film Black Friday, and this role of barely 10 dialogues and 2-3 scenes was overshadowed by the big role of other actors. Lakhan Rai’s character is like Lalu Prasad Yadav but he has not become sloppy even after having fun. In just one scene, when he sings “Jogira Sara Rara” with his disciples at his bungalow, or talks to the press, after returning from prison, he comes across as a rustic and rustic leader. In films, characters influenced by Lalu Prasad Yadav are written like caricatures. Vijay Maurya’s Lakhan Rai in Rangbaaz is not a comedian and Vijay hasn’t even allowed the Qalandar mood to dominate the character. Prashant Narayan is in the role of a police officer in the web series. His character is also based on a real Sivan’s SP Ratna Sanjay. Being troubled by Shah Ali’s habit of breaking the law, when the SP wants to sue him, he is unable to do anything due to political pressure. In frustration, he storms Shah Ali’s house with the entire army. A terrible shootout ensues, but Shah Ali is arrested for saving his wife and child, and the weapon recovered from his house is extremely rare, which cannot even be cut by the police. Prashant’s voice is strong, his personality is also good, but this time he has looked a bit fat and unformed. Rajesh Tailang and Geetanjali Kulkarni’s roles are small and effective as they are such seasoned players that they overpower the rest of the cast in a single scene.

A lot of research has been done in Rangbaaz Season 3 and it is clearly visible in the writing. Whatever the crime is, it is extremely non-glamorous. The politics that is there is also not politics full of crooked or cunning. When Lakhan Rai joins hands with his arch-rival and sacrifices Shah Ali’s politics, the compulsion on his face and practical decisions are also visible. Director Sachin Pathak and writer Siddharth Mishra seem to be maturing more and more with each season. One thing which is even better this season is that the title track of Rangbaaz has been removed. He was very hoarse and used to prick his ears. Nikhil Parihar has joined hands with Parikshit Jha in editing this time. Scissors have been ruthlessly used so that the speed of the story is maintained and the possibilities of deviating from the original story are eliminated.

Although many incidents of Shah Ali in this web series are similar to the events of Shahabuddin’s life, but the touch of Shah Ali’s personal life has been kept amazing. Girls’ school, hospital in the city, his scheme of paying doctor’s fees to Rs 25 and many such socially useful works have also come his part, which are very easy to get into web series and leave a slight impact. Shah Ali is also shown to have a passion for sheroshayari which doesn’t seem to be forcibly tamed because of Vineet’s acting talent. This season has become the best in the season so far. Must see it.
