Every two years, the Smart Automation Austria show takes place in Linz. In 2023, Dunkermotoren, a brand of AMETEK, will also be on site as an exhibitor. From May 23 to 25, 2023, Dunkermotoren will present the latest highlights of smart drive technology for the Austrian market at booth 144.

In the field of driverless transport systems, Dunkermotoren offers an entire portfolio specifically designed for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). This includes hub gearboxes in combination with brushless DC motors, brakes, and encoders. The newest member of Dunkermotoren's AGV lineup is the NG 1000 WO (with Offset). It allows for a smaller installation space thanks to the axle offset of the gearbox to the motor. In combination with the BG 95x80 dPro smart BLDC motor, NG 1000 WO hub gearbox, E 600R brake, and a safety encoder, the solution allows for a design width of only 600 mm for a transportation system.

The BG dPro series is now available with the industrial Ethernet interfaces PROFINET, EtherCAT, and EtherNet/IP as well as the CANopen fieldbus interface in all sizes from BG 45 to BG 95. Additionally,the safety function STO (Safe Torque Off) has been integrated in the motor housing. For the BG 45 and BG 66 sizes, an external control option is also available in addition to the integrated version via the external BGE 5510 dPro electronics.

The Donaueschingen-based company EGS Automation has been part of Dunkermotoren since 2021. With its SUMO automation solutions, EGS offers standard solutions for production and process automation in the metal and plastics industry. Industrial robots are the center-piece of its portfolio. EGS Automation will also participate for the first time under Dunkermotoren at Smart Automation in Linz.
