Resident Evil 8: Village PC System Requirements Announced By Capcom

Capcom never disappoints its fans. Whether it’s about making RE fans simp for nine-foot, six inches Lady Dimitrescu or taking full advantage of ray tracing on next-gen consoles, this company really knows which magic card to reveal and when to reveal.

Recently, Capcom has announced the PC hardware requirements for Resident Evil 8: Village. The system demands have been officially posted on the game’s Steam page. This latest news has befittingly been made available on the same day as Resident Evil’s 25th anniversary, which has the series trending on Twitter.

In fact, Capcom has also explained long-windedly about different pc system requirements on Resident Evil 8: Village on its official Japanese website. According to our experts, the system requirements for the next installment in the long-running horror franchise are pretty forgiving.

The minimum PC requirements for running Resident Evil 8: Village at 1080p are as the following:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 560
  • DirectX: Version 12

In spite of being very good-looking, Resident Evil games always tend to be well-optimized on the PC. We consider Resident Evil 8: Village minimum pc requirements as a green flag for low-end PC enthusiasts who surely wanted to upgrade from GTX 1050 Ti to a new RTX GPU but couldn’t do so because of low stocks of new GPUs (thanks to scalpers and miners) and consequently higher prices.

Resident Evil 8: Village will run seamlessly at 60 FPS on 1080p with these minimum pc requirements. Although Steam page notes FPS drops might happen in graphics-intensive scenes. However, Techanator believes that miner frame drops shouldn’t be a problem as long as the game turns out to be horribly optimized like CyberPunk 2077.

Let’s just hope it won’t happen *fingers crossed*

Now, it’s time to put a spotlight on the recommended PC requirements for Resident Evil 8: Village. Here are the official maximum pc specifications needed to run the next installment in the long-running horror franchise at 1080p:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700
  • DirectX: Version 12

The aforementioned recommended pc requirements indicate that your current mid-end PC should handle Resident Evil 8: Village just fine. These pc needs are really epic for those who can love to play on smaller resolutions, lower frame-rates, and are completely okay with the absence of ray tracing – a graphical rendering technique that can enhance lighting and shadow effects in games by simulating light rays bouncing around a scene.

Some of these gaming laptops under 50,000 INR will run Resident Evil 8: Village and other AAA titles flawlessly!

For those having a 4K display, Capcom has listed several GPUs and what framerates RE fans can anticipate seeing when ray tracing is enabled. The following are the recommended ray tracing pc requirements for running Resident Evil 8: Village:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (4K/45fps) / Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 (4K/60fps) / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (4K/45fps) / AMD Radeon RX 6800 (4K/45fps) / AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT (4K/60fps)
  • DirectX: Version 12

Resident Evil 8: Village release date and final size

Following the achievement of its predecessor, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil 8: Village will commence Ethan Winters, husband of Mia, into a new ordeal where he will be confronted by witches, vampires, and werewolves.  The next installment in the acclaimed horror series will come to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on May 7.

About the final size, Capcom has given no word on install size. But Microsoft as well as steam has it at around 45GB. On the other hand, Resident Evil 8: Village will come around 27GB on the PS5. Don’t get baffled by the game size on PC as it could include the free Resident Evil Re: Verse multiplayer game and a day-one patch.

That said, we told you different pc requirements for Resident Evil 8: Village along with its release date and size. Are you eagerly waiting to put your hands on this anticipated horror title or should we say, let Lady Dimitrescu put her hands around your character’s neck? Share your thoughts in the comments!
