Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro is launched with a powerful camera and eye-catching design, a big surprise at the price!

Xiaomi has finally launched the much awaited Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro smartphone in its home market China. While the new model in the Civi lineup is primarily designed for women, it will cater to male customers as well. The specialty of the Civi series is the design and powerful premium hardware, which also applies to the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro. The phone offers a rich display with 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, 4,700 mAh battery with 67 W fast charging support and 50 megapixel OmniVision Light Fusion 800 primary camera. Let’s know all the specifications, features and price of the new Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro in detail.

Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro Design and Specifications

First let’s talk about the design. Xiaomi CV4 Pro is based on the design of its predecessor CV3. At the back of the device is a circular camera island, housing three lenses and an LED flash module. The camera island is surrounded by a textured metal ring, which matches the color of the rear panel. Apart from the special edition color, the Xiaomi CV4 Pro can be chosen in four color options – Spring Field Green, Soft Mist Pink, Breeze Blue and Black. Among these, the Spring Field Green variant stands out from the rest with a glossy finish. It offers vibrant spring tones and patterns like flowing water achieved through a sophisticated “colorful gilding” process. The spring field green model also has a textured back, possibly made of synthetic leather.

The sides of the Xiaomi CV4 Pro are flat, with curved edges that make the phone more comfortable to hold. The front has a slightly curved display, surrounded by ultra-slim bezels. The top, side and bottom bezels are 1.6mm, 1.44mm and 2.02mm thin respectively. The Xiaomi CV4 Pro’s 6.55-inch display offers a resolution of 2,750 x 1,236 pixels and a pixel density of 460 ppi, a 120 Hz refresh rate, full coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and can reach a peak brightness level of 3,000 nits.

In addition, the screen also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision and has a wet touch feature, which prevents unwanted touches when the display is wet. The Xiaomi CV4 Pro has a pill-shaped cutout above the display, which houses two cameras. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has an under-screen touch sensor for easy unlocking. For audio, the Xiaomi CV4 Pro features a stereo speaker setup. The device is 7.45 mm slim and weighs 179 grams.

For performance, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro uses the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 octa-core processor, built on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) 4 nanometer node. Its Cortex-X4 prime core has a peak clock speed of 3.0 GHz. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Also, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 provides a huge boost to artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications.

For photography, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro’s rear camera setup houses a 50-megapixel OmniVision Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and f/1.63 aperture, paired with a Leica Summilux lens. The phone also features a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 portrait + telephoto camera with f/1.98 aperture and autofocus. And the third camera setup has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with 120-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture.

For selfies and video calling, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro offers a dual front camera setup, which includes a 32-megapixel main sensor with 78-degree field of view, f/2.0 aperture, 2X portrait close-up and autofocus. And the second camera has a 32-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with 100-degree ultra-wide viewing angle, 4K ultra-clear image quality, AI distortion correction algorithm, f/2.4 aperture and Electronics Image Stabilization (EIS) video anti-shake. All the cameras in the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro feature custom tuning from the famous German camera manufacturer, Leica, and special Leica photography modes.

For power backup, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro uses a 4,700mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging. With this fast charging support, the company claims that the device will be charged to 100% within 40 minutes. To keep temperatures under control, a 4,184 square millimeter vapor chamber cooling system is also included. Civi 4 Pro runs on the latest Android 14-based HyperOS custom skin. For connectivity, the phone supports 5G, dual-band WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 with AAC/LDSE/LHDC support. It also has NFC and infrared.
