US technology company, RAZ Mobility has officially launched a special mobile Phone called SmartVision 3. It is intended for use by blind and Visually Impaired people. This feature-rich Android smartphone, made by Kapsys, offers a touch screen with physical buttons, ideal for people who are visually impaired or completely blind.

SmartVision 3: Specifications and Features

The specially designed SmartVision 3 has dedicated buttons on the right side, providing quick access to Google Assistant for voice-controlled activities and text input via speech recognition. The phone comes with pre-installed applications designed for Visually Impaired Users including currency recognizer, color detector, light detector and magnifier. In addition, it includes five NFC tags, which enable users to identify objects and perform specific actions such as making phone calls.

The smartphone has a custom wireless charger for visually impaired users. At the top is a 3.5-inch touch screen with a resolution of 640 x 960 pixels. And at the bottom is a physical keyboard. Above the display sits a speaker and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which facilitates effortless video calling. And the back panel houses a dual camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary camera sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For security, it also has a fingerprint sensor.

Besides, the top of the phone houses a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting headphones and the power button. And on the right, there’s a textured voice command button. The device is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage.

SmartVision 3 allows users to save a total of nine phone numbers as speed dials on number buttons 1 to 9. A long press on a number key calls the corresponding number. In addition, users can also open applications with number keys by long-pressing buttons for quick access instead of time-consuming searches.
