Bajaj-Triumph Speed ​​400 or Royal Enfield Interceptor 650? Which bike has more power?

Triumph is going to launch a pair of motorcycles in the Indian market on July 5. The two models jointly developed with Bajaj are – Speed ​​400 and Scrambler 400X. Both bikes have already been unveiled in the international market. Meanwhile, the Speed ​​400’s rival in the Indian market is the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 features a 648 cc, air-oil cooled, parallel twin engine with 270 degree crank. Which produces a maximum power of 47 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 52 Nm of torque at 5,150 rpm. Mated to the motor is a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch.

On the other hand, the Triumph Speed ​​400 is powered by a 400 cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder, DOHC engine. It will get 39.45 bhp of power and 37.5 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.

The Interceptor 650 rests on a steel tubular double cradle chassis. Designed by Harris Performance. It features 41mm telescopic front forks and twin gas shock rear absorbers with preload adjustable. There are 320mm and 240mm disc brakes at the front and rear respectively to handle braking duties. Interceptor 650 offers dual channel ABS.

The Triumph Speed ​​400, on the other hand, uses a new perimeter frame over a bolt-on-sub frame. Suspension includes 43mm upside down big piston front fork and preload adjustable gas charged rear monoshock. The braking system is provided with 300 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brakes. It also has dual channel ABS.

Talking about the features, Triumph Speed ​​400 has all LED lighting. Whereas the Interceptor 650 has an LED headlamp. The Triumph model comes with an analog speedometer and a digital cluster.
