Realme’s Global Vice President of Business and Corporate Strategy Madhav Seth may leave the company. He is rumored to be stepping down from Realme to join the Honor brand as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in India. All India media reports have claimed the same. Even Realme’s director-level executives are rumored to follow Madhav Sheth and Join Honor India.

Madhav Seth is leaving Realme to join Honor India

According to a report by IANS, Madhav Sheth is likely to leave his position as Realme’s Global Vice President to join Honor India. Seth was made Global VP of Realme in March this year. That is, he was no longer the CEO of the Indian branch of the company. Nisar Naikoo and Dipesh Punamia were entrusted with managing Realme in India.

Incidentally, Madhav has been part of Realme since its inception in 2018 and has played an integral role in establishing the brand’s presence in the Indian as well as European markets by launching consumer products with innovative technologies. However, this executive has been noticeably absent from Realme’s recent key launch events in India, including the Realme 11 Pro 5G series.

Madhav Sheth is leaving Realme at a significant time, when the Indian smartphone market is going through a special transition. Currently, Apple and Samsung are strengthening their position. As a result, Chinese brands are facing increasing challenges. Chinese tech giant Huawei sold its Honor smartphone business to China-based Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co Ltd in 2020.

Note that Honor’s new products have not been launched in India for a long time. As a result, the speculation of the company’s comeback in the country by Madhav Sheth has intensified. However, both Realme and Honor are yet to make an official statement regarding the move. Madhav Seth is also silent.
