Data leak due to bank mistake?

According to the report, this data of ICICI Bank has been categorized by the government in Critical Information Infrastructure, which means that any breach in it can cause huge losses to the customers as well as the country. Although, CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team) and the bank have fixed this problem, but this does not eliminate the risk.

There has been a lapse on the part of ICICI Bank in maintaining this critical information of the customers. The name of this cloud storage of the bank is Digital Ocean Bucket. It contains bank details, credit card, name, date of birth, address, phone number and e-mail address of lakhs of users. Apart from this, other important information including passport, ID, PAN card, bank statement of the customers are also included in this storage. However, no statement has been issued by the bank regarding this data leak.
