Himachal Elections 2022: Announcement to Implement OPS, Minimum Salary Will be 26 Thousand

Himachal Elections 2022: The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPIM) has released its election manifesto. In this, it has been announced to restore the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), regularize outsourced employees, part time workers as well as increase the minimum wage of laborers to Rs 26 thousand per month. Keeping in mind the education, health, employees, unemployment, agriculture, horticulture and every section, the party has prepared the manifesto. CPIM state secretary Onkar Shad said that the BJP has crossed all limits regarding inflation, unemployment. Central agencies are being misused to eliminate political opponents. Elected MPs and MLAs of other parties are being intimidated by ED and CBI.

The people of Himachal are looking for a political alternative after being troubled by the economic plight. Both the BJP and the Congress work to bash each other on their failure. In reality, the policy similarity between the two is clearly visible. Both parties implement neoliberal policies directed by the World Bank. Both these parties are responsible for corruption and economic misery. He said that the CPI(M) is going to play the role of a strong opposition in the assembly to oppose the neo-liberal policies among the people and implement alternative development policies.

    • Stop privatization of water and other services
    • Doing 200 days of work and minimum daily wage of Rs 350 in MNREGA
    • To get five bighas of free land to the landless and poor farmers
    • Rs 3000 unemployment allowance to youth
    • Providing two biswa land in urban areas and three biswa in rural areas

For ladies

  • Making strict laws to end domestic violence
  • strengthen educationally, financially and legally
  • Open child care center

Social justice

  • Equal opportunities for dalits and other backward classes and religious minorities in education and employment
  • Priority in jobs for the physically challenged
  • Implementation of reservation facility in government and private sectors

Education

  • To do the work of making provision of six percent of the center, 30 percent of the state budget on education
  • To make education free from private hands in the state
  • Filling the vacant posts of teachers in colleges and universities
  • Providing hostel facility for girl students in the college
  • Opening schools in rural areas
  • Refund of increased fees in colleges and universities

Health

  • Promote public investment in the health sector
  • Launching of mobile health service in rural areas
  • Filling up the vacant posts of doctors and nurses

Employment, workers and laborers

  • Incorporating Social Security into Employment
  • EPS, ESI, Medical and Pension facility to non-government employees
  • MNREGA and minimum wage for daily wage laborers
  • 90 percent employment in industries to unemployed youth of Himachal

Agricultural & horticulture

  • Getting all crops and livestock insured
  • Import tax on apples and other crops to 100%
  • Implementation of one time scheme to waive loans for farmers
  • Making a concrete policy to give relief from stray animals
  • Setting up of CA store, raising the demand for 90 percent grant on priority

Other issues

  • Recruitment process in the university, fair investigation of police recruitment scam
  • To seriously investigate all cases of violation of section 118
  • Taking strict steps to stop drug trade
  • To make proper arrangements for water, cleanliness, beautification, traffic, parking, roads etc. in the state.
  • Construction of laboratories, gyms, sports venues, parks etc. in villages and cities
