Key Steps to Setup Roadrunner Email Settings on Different Devices

Roadrunner is an Email service provider which is used globally for personal as well as professional use. Many people use it directly in the browser and many use it in outlook or mail applications on a computer or cell phone.

How to setup “Roadrunner email settings” in outlook:

When we try to use roadrunner in third-party applications like outlook or mail, we can set it up in two ways, manually and automatically.

It is better if you configure it manually, but to configure it manually we need “Roadrunner Email Settings”, which consists of two servers: IMAP and POP3.

1. How to setup “Roadrunner mail settings” in IMAP in Outlook:

  1. Launch Outlook.
  2. Go to “My accounts”.
  3. Click the ‘Add Account’ button.
  4. Sign in with your Roadrunner email address and password.

Do not select the ‘Automatic Configuration’ option. Instead, select the ‘Manual Configuration option.

  1. Select “IMAP” as the account type.
  2. Manually enter your email, password, username, and “Roadrunner Email settings” for the IMAP server.

These are the Roadrunner Email Server Settings For IMAP:

  1. Incoming server: mail.twc.com
  2. Outgoing Server: mail.twc.com
  3. Incoming mail server port: 143
  4. Outgoing mail server port: 465 or 587
  5. Incoming Security type: SSL/TLS
  6. Outgoing security type: None
  7. Select ‘None’ under the insecure port.
  8. Uncheck the ‘secure server’ option.
  9. Uncheck ‘Verified certificate option.

Check all the “Roadrunner Email settings” properly and hit ‘Next’.

-Now, it will configure your email after that hit ‘Done’.

2. How to Setup “Roadrunner Email Settings” in POP3 in Outlook:

  1. A positive outlook
  2. Navigate to the ‘My Account’ section.
  3. Select ‘Add account.’
  4. Then Select the ‘Manually Configure’ option.
  5. Select POP3 as the account type.
  6. Enter your roadrunner email, password, username (the name you want to appear on the screen), and the POP3 server’s roadrunner email settings.

Roadrunner Email Server Settings for the POP3 Server are as follows:

  1. Incoming server: mail.twc.com
  2. Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.twc.com
  3. Incoming mail server port: 995
  4. Outgoing mail server port: 587
  5. Select ‘None’ in security type in incoming and outgoing.
  6. Hit ‘Next’ and once your email is configured, select ‘Done’.

3. How To Set Up The “Roadrunner Email Settings” in Android Using a POP3 Server:

  1. Launch the Email app.
  2. Enter your Roadrunner email address, then press the “Next” button.
  3. Choose POP3 (Personal) server, then click ‘Next.’
  4. Now, enter your Roadrunner mail password and press the ‘Next’ button.
  5. Now, enter the information for the ‘Incoming mail server setting’.

The “Roadrunner Email Settings” For The POP3 Server in Android Are As Follows:

  1. In the ‘Username’ field, enter your full email address.
  2. Enter your Roadrunner email password now.
  3. Pop-server.yourlocation.rr.com is the incoming mail server. (Under “your location” in the domain, you have to enter the city name that is in your email.)
  4. Server Port for Incoming Mail: 110
  5. Select ‘None’ under Security type.
  6. After entering all of the information, press the ‘Next’ button.
  7. Outgoing server settings for the Android Mail are as follows.
  8. SMTP Server: smtp-server.yourlocation.rr.com
  9. 587 or 25 for outgoing mail server port
  10. ‘None’ as a security type
  11. Select the ‘Require sign-in’ checkbox.
  12. Enter your full roadrunner email address in the username field.
  13. Enter your Roadrunner email password now.
  14. Click on Next”.
  15. Again, select “Next”.
  16. Fill your name in the ‘Your name’ field. (This name can be seen by the people to whom you will send the email.)
  17. Press the ‘Next’ button.

4. How To Setup “Roadrunner Email Settings” in Android Using an IMAP Server:

  1. Open the ‘Mail’ application on your Android phone.
  2. Click on the ‘Manual setup’ button.
  3. Now, select IMAP as the account type.
  4. Then enter your Roadrunner email address and password and press the ‘Next’ button.
  5. Now, enter the information for the ‘Incoming mail server setting’.

The “Roadrunner Email Settings” for the IMAP Server on Android are as follows:

  1. Fill in your full email address in the ‘Username’ field.
  2. Enter your Roadrunner mail password now.
  3. Mail.twc.com is the incoming mail server.
  4. Server Port for Incoming Mail: 993
  5. SSL/TLS encryption (if the server port is 993)
  6. Insecure port number: 125
  7. Type of security: None (If the server port is 125)
  8. After entering all of the information, press the ‘Next’ button.

The Outgoing server settings for the Android Mail are as follows.

  1. SMTP (Outgoing Mail Server): mail.twc.com
  2. Outgoing mail server port number: 465, 587, or 25
  3. Security type: SSL/TLS (Select SSL/TLS if the secure port is 465 or 587). If the secure port is 25, then select ‘None’. Sometimes, 587 doesn’t work with SSL/TLS security. At that time, you can try ‘None’ with port 587).
  4. Enter your Roadrunner email password now.
  5. Click on Next”.
  6. Again, select “Next”.
  7. Fill in your name in the ‘Your name’ field. (This name can be seen by the people to whom you will send the email.)
  8. Press the ‘Next’ button.

Now, your email is ready to use on an Android cell phone.

5. How To Setup “Roadrunner Email Settings” Using IMAP On iPhone:

Start configuring your email by clicking on the ‘Settings’ option on your iPhone.

  1. Select ‘Mail’ from the settings menu.
  2. Now, under the mail option, select ‘Accounts.’
  3. Select ‘Add account’.
  4. Click on ‘Others.’
  5. Formalized paraphrase

Then, click on ‘Add mail account’.

  1. Next, enter your name, email address, and password.
  2. Click on “Next”.
  3. Choose IMAP.
  4. Configure the IMAP server for incoming and outgoing (SMTP) servers.

Mail.twc.com is the incoming mail server.

  1. Outgoing mail server: mail.twc.com
  2. SSL is enabled.
  3. Outgoing (SMTP) secure port: 465
  4. Security type: SSL/TLS
  5. Outgoing (SMTP) roaming port: 587
  6. Security type: SSL/TLS
  7. Outgoing (SMTP) Insecure port: 25 or 587
  8. Security type: None.
  9. Authentication: Password.

Also, if required, enter 587 in “Server port”.

  • Click the ‘Next’ button.

Remember, the email address and username will be the same for both the incoming (IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) servers.

Your Roadrunner email is now ready to use on your iPhone.
