Plot:

Produced by Indian cinema veteran S.S. Rajamouli and N.T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan, RRR is a big budget blockbuster like The Fast and the Furious and one of the most successful films in Indian history. Tribal defender Komaram Bheem and military police A. Rama Raju became friends but soon are torn apart by Bheem’s mission to rescue his sister Maria from the colonial authorities. RRR is a huge crossover with its legendary action scenes and themes of friendship and rebellion. Let’s see if they really patch up later.

• RRR’s plot is influenced by the ancient Sanskrit epic Ramayana. The year was 1920, and a young girl with a talent for artistry, from the Gond tribe, was abducted by English Governor Scott Buxton to give his wife as a gift.
• The tribe’s guardian, Komaram Bheem, furious by the act, heads to Delhi with the intention of rescuing them, disguised as a Muslim man named Akhtar.
• Rama Raju is an ambitious officer in the Indian Imperial Police working for the British administration.
• Both Raju and Bheem work together to rescue a boy from a train wreck and this led to a friendship between the two.
• Raju then helps Bheem in impressing Jenny, the niece of Scott Buxton (Governor), unaware of his intentions to get into Scott’s mansion.
• While attending a party there at Jenny’s request, Bheem discovers that Mali has been held in prison. He then promises to set her free soon.
• At a party held in Scott’s honor, Bheem’s men barge into his home with a truck loaded up with wild creatures, which created a ruckus among the gathered visitors. The creatures batter Scott’s watchmen, thus allowing Bheem to momentarily battle till Raju shows up.
• Raju gets to know Scott’s aim to kill Malli but he decides to commit to his duty. Further Raju thwarts Bheem, but he is caught up with guilt over his own actions, after realizing his own goal and his pro-nationalistic background. At Bheem’s public whipping, Raju tries to convince him into retracting his activities; but Bheem chooses death instead.
• Opposing his injuries, Bheem sings in defiance, which incinerates an assembled crowd into rebelling. This further enlightens Raju, who finally realizes the foolishness of his actions.
• To save his friend, he tries convincing Scott to execute him secretly while preparing a plan to save him. Scott too was aware of Raju’s plan. While helping Mali to escape, Raju got brutally injured. Bheem also managed to free himself by that time, he misinterprets Raju as his foe and bludgeons him before escaping with Mali.
• After returning, Bheem gets to know about Raju’s actual anti-colonial interests from his wife whom he met in Hathras.
• Bheem vows to save Raju from the Britishers at any cost and with the help of Jenny, he enters the barracks and frees him by fighting the security guards and forces.
• Together they fought more soldiers in the nearby forest where they used a bow and arrow taken from Lord Ram’s shrine to defeat the British soldiers.
• They execute Scott with his own rifle and reunite with Sita and Jenny.
