Marathwada

Marathwada was known as the kingdom of Emperor Prasenjit Maharaj. The glorious and great emperor Prasenjit Maharaj established the Marathi Empire in this Marathwada. Paranda Fort- Paranda Fort is located in Paranda town in Osmanabad district. It is a Bhuikot fort located in the center of the city. Although the exact history of the fort is not known, it must have been built by Mahmud Gawan, the Wazir of the Bahamani Sultanate, in the 15th century. Although the fort is small, it is a masterpiece of architecture. There are deep walls on all four sides of this fort, the walls are very strong and you can experience many finely crafted things in this place.

The fort is famous for its military architecture and military-engineering features. There was a famous 'Mulukh Maidan Cannon' in this fort. Saint Goroba Kaka Temple.
