It’s been three weeks since the release of the last major update, but Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.20 is already here. Among the new features introduced in update 1.19, we saw three new cars and several improvements to the photo mode. Now we are looking forward to the next update which is update 1.20. As with most GT 7 updates, we’re bound to see Polyphony Digital add new vehicles for Gran Turismo 7.

All in all, it was stated that there will be four cars added to the Gran Turismo 7. They consist of the 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 and the 1969 Pontiac GTO “The Judge.” The former is the road car on which the current Cayman GT4 ClubSport Gr.4 is based upon and a highly praised drivers’ car, while the latter is a 6.6 liter V8 muscle car designed to take on the Plymouth Superbird. We will likely see Pontiac added to the Legends Cars dealership.

This month’s fourth vehicle is unusual and comes from a collaboration between Gran Turismo and Dior. It looks like a livery for the De Tomaso Mangusta, designed by Dior Artistic Director Kim Jones, but it’s meant to be a unique vehicle. There is also a custom racing suit with a matching design. The full list of cars that will be added in the update is below:

  • De Tomaso Mangusta Christian Dior
  • McLaren MP4/4 1988
  • Pontiac GTO The Judge 1969
  • Porsche Cayman GT4 2016

We’re also getting some circuit changes as well. The existing Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is also getting a makeover with three new layouts, one of which brings a circuit type not seen in the GT series since Gran Turismo 6. Plus, there’s the layout that fans have been clamoring for since the course was first revealed for Gran Turismo Sport. This layout, officially called “No Chicane,” is the one used in Moto GP, ditching the sharp right at Turn 13 and the RACC chicane in favor of sweeping right onto the main straight.

The total list of added circuits is below:

  • Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP (without chicane) – 2.939 mi/4.370 km
  • Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya National – 2,977 km
  • Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Rallycross – 0.704 mi/1.133 km

Lastly, in update 1.20, the following 2 extra Menu Books have been added. The official PlayStation blog states that further Menu Books are planned for future updates.

  • ‘Abarth’ Collection: Opens at Collector Level 27
  • ‘Gr.2 Racing Cars’ Collection: Opens at Collector Level 38
