Brief Description

You will be working in the national Employee Engagement team within the People Services function in Group HR and report into the Head of Engagement. The engagement team leads on lots of exciting programmes such as Your Voice, Kings Honours recognition, Armed Forces engagement and performance management across a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally.

About the role (External)

As the Senior Employee Engagement Business Partner, you’ll lead innovative strategies and projects to boost employee engagement in line with our people vision for Network Rail. You’ll research and analyse internal and external data to understand engagement factors, providing insightful thought leadership and recommendations for improvement. You will manage company-wide listening programmes (including surveys) and influence the integration of the insights into strategies to drive improved engagement and promotion of the employee value proposition. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners, you’ll ensure our initiatives are forward thinking, relevant and impactful.

Person Specification / Essential Criteria

·CIPD qualified or relevant experience to demonstrate level of competence.

·Extensive HR experience

·Experience in leading and driving employee engagement related activities.

·Practical experience of developing, implementing, and managing employee engagement activities within a large organisation.

·Proven practical experience in leading the delivery of organisational wide projects or programmes from concept into business-as-usual activity.

·Proven experience of raising the profile of activity across an organisation through multi-channel activity, in order to raise awareness and engagement of specific projects or programmes.

·Good analytical skills, with experience of using data to drive change.

·Significant practical experience of managing internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

·Proven influencing and communication skills.

·Graduate calibre.

Duration: Permanent

Location: This role is based in The Quadrant:MK, for Milton Keynes roles you must live within 75 / 60 minutes or willing to self-relocate. Flexibility on the location can be considered.

Band & Salary: Band 3C £55,596 - £62,546

BPSS

As an arm’s length department of the UK Government, Network Rail is required to comply with a well-established pre-employment vetting process for all prospective employees.
