Part-Time Administrator Role at Brook Street supporting NHS England

Brook Street is currently recruiting for a part-time Administrator to support NHS England.

This role requires 18.75 hours of work every week, with flexible working patterns. You will be working remotely from home. The rate of pay is £12.86 per hour.

This assignment is for 6 months, expected to end in March 2024, with the start ASAP.

About the Organisation

The School of Public Health is responsible for the coordination of postgraduate education and training in public health.

The Business Support Administrator will provide effective and efficient administrative support, working in the PGMDE Office based in Bristol but covering the whole of the South West.

Responsibilities

The Administrator is responsible for:

  • Working as part of a team to support the implementation of specific work streams and team functions.
  • Supporting the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service, including secretariat for meetings.

Experience and Knowledge:

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Significant demonstrable experience of working in an administrative/support role.
  • Experience of organising and running meetings and events.
  • Experience of working in a team environment.
  • Experience of working to deadlines.
  • Experience of effectively communicating routine information using clear and appropriate formats.
  • Experience of using database systems to collate information from multiple sources and report on that information.
  • Understanding and knowledge of data management and validation.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Information Governance and confidentiality issues.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the NHS training pathways for junior doctors.
  • Experience with diary management.
  • Experience of taking formal minutes.
  • Experience of problem-solving.
  • Experience of setting up an office system and writing protocols e.g. Planner in 0365.
  • Knowledge of virtual meeting technology.
