HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Part-Time Remote Project Manager to support our customers, NSIN (National Security Innovation Network) and DMATS (Decisive Mission Actions & Technology Services).

The Project Manager will work closely with customers and staff in support of different projects. The Project Manager’s responsibilities include coordinating and completing tasks on time, within budget, and scope. Oversees all aspects of onsite project personnel. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors, and summarizes progress of projects in compliance with all Contract Deliverables. Prepare reports for government customers and Program Managers regarding the project’s status. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. What You Will Do

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Serve as the company’s primary point of contact for project-related items and appropriately manage personnel, performance, scope, schedule, and budget matters for the company’s contract support team.
  • Provide overall technical and financial management of tasks and milestones associated with contractual agreements.
  • Manage relationships and expectations with USAFE & USAREUR, companies we have a contractual relationship with, and our employees.
  • Evaluate the progression of project milestones and budget and modify work as applicable to ensure overall project quality, schedule, and budget are being attained.
  • Regularly engage with key government client stakeholders.
  • Assist with analyzing business requirements.
  • Assist in the development of monthly progress reports detailing work performed, schedule of activities, and issues/concerns arising or potentially arising in the following month’s efforts.
  • Facilitate the development of information deliverables for a contract in support of the USAFE & USAREUR.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with a Master’s in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Experience managing performance-based projects and/or programs with multiple international performance locations.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

Preferred: Bonus Points For…

  • Clearance: Possess an active Secret clearance or above.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Program Management certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing Cost type contracts in support of the Department of Defense.
  • 3+ years of experience with contractor requirements with Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA).
  • 3+ years of experience in managing contracts awarded and administrated by GSA/FEDSIM.
  • 3+ years of experience with using Smartsheet in the management of projects and the utilization of Office365 products to flatten communications with a geographically dispersed organization.
