Signifyd seeks a passionate, experienced International Accountant to join our Finance Team. As an International Accountant you will have important interactions with our customers, vendors, and employees. You will perform critical functions that others rely on. You will find excitement and satisfaction as you see how your work helps the company grow. You will also have the ability to expand your knowledge and career as Signifyd expands internationally and faces more and more complex Accounting issues. This role will report to our Accounting Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to help ensure the Company’s financial statements are accurate and timely
- Establish accounting policy and procedure for international locations
- Onboard new customers and vendors in foreign locations
- Help with international taxes
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations
- Perform international accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Resolve customer and vendor billing and payment issues
- Help with foreign currency translation
- Reconcile intercompany receivables and payables
- Perform intercompany consolidation and elimination.
- Help prepare financial reports and analysis
In the first 30 days:
- Learn the onboarding process for international customers
- Learn the onboarding process for international vendors
- Learn the employee expense reimbursement process
- Review vendor bills and provide payment approval to our in country accountants
- Learn how to initiate and approve outgoing payments in our foreign bank portals
- Learn the month-end close process for each international location
After 60 days:
- Fully reconcile intercompany AR and AP for our international subsidiaries
- Learn the trial balance upload process
- Coordinate with our in country accountants on the local compliance calendar
- Update and maintain the cash forecast for each international subsidiary
- Create and submit month-end journal entries to our in country accountants
- Book PTO and commissions for international employees
And after 90 days:
- Maintain the intercompany billing process
- Maintain the month-end close variance analysis
- Maintain month-end close workpapers for our international subsidiaries
- Review and approve statutory compliance
- Review and approve tax filings
- Ensure that our in country accountants meet month-end close deadlines
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in accounting including experience with AR, AP, and the GL
- 3 years of international accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with NetSuite required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, sumifs, and xlookups
- Positive attitude with a willingness to continually evaluate and improve processes
