Events Manager:

Salary: \(60k-\)65k base, $10k bonus potential, half paid each half year

OTE: \(65k-\)75k

Your Work:

As an Events Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the planning of, and producing events from conception through to completion for our full-scope of events. This role includes both an events marketing component (managing/coordinating our event sponsorships and virtual event programs) and a business development component (attending many of these industry events yourself and representing Feathr, generating leads from networking, etc).

This role will require travel, likely once or twice per month.  The Events Manager should have the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as demonstrate great organization and communication skills.  In this role, you will be supported to ensure that all event functions are successful.

Ultimately, this role will be responsible for managing Feathr’s event sponsorship efforts and maximizing their impact – primarily measured by impact in lead generation for our sales pipeline. This position will report to Anna Cowart, our Associate Director of Events.

Your Experience

  • 2+ years of experience either with event marketing or sponsorship/exhibit management

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, SDR/BDR roles, account management, or similar customer-facing roles

  • Proficient in CRM software tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and remote collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, Wistia, etc.

  • Experience working for a SaaS company is a plus.

Your Day

  • Manage event logistics for all events where Feathr is represented:

    • Pre-planning including budgeting and scoping, assist in pre-event marketing and coordinate with marketing POC to ensure marketing coverage is provided. During-event including onsite and ancillary event management.

    • Perform on-site management of assigned events

    • Coordinate and follow-up with vendors, hotels, attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and other POCs on details of assigned events.

  • Leverage communication skills to engage internal marketing, customer, product, and sales teams and external vendors to keep projects on track and manage planning meetings that involve cross-functional teams.

  • Manage inventory and ordering of swag items, promo materials, literature, booth supplies, backdrops, etc.

  • Handle logistics of shipping items to/from events.

  • Coordinate with appropriate departments when we receive attendee lists to make sure they are enriched for outbound sales efforts and uploaded into our CRMs

    • Ensure attendee/registration lists receive marketing outreach pre/post event.
  • Manage outbound sales cadences for pre/post event outreach.

  • Execute pre-event and post-event outbound sales efforts to target ICPs.

  • Attend many of these events yourself to represent Feathr from a lead generating / business development standpoint

  • Plan and coordinate travel arrangements for employees (flights, hotel).

  • Update reporting in CRM to manage pipeline creation.

  • Support the production of virtual event programing:

    • Schedule events in virtual meeting software, manage panelists invitations, and coordinate with other POCs for details of virtual events.

    • Coordinate post-event follow-up of attendees and panelists.

Compensation:

Base salary for this position is \(60-\)65k + 10k bonus potential paid out each half year. On Target Earnings for Year 1 is $65-75k dependent on experience and credentials.

Location:

This position is remote for candidates located in Eastern and Central timezones, but preference for the Gainesville, FL area,  where we are headquartered. Feathr is a hybrid workplace with fully remote flexibility. If you aren’t familiar, Gainesville is a hip mid-sized city with a highly innovative population and an attainable standard of living.

Hiring Manager Interview - 1 hour virtual meeting with the Hiring Manager to answer role-specific questions and review the work assignment.

Panel Interview - 1 hour interview with two to three key members of the team. This interview will dive deeper into the role, technical knowledge, and requirements of the position.

Offer -  The Talent Acquisition Team will reach out with the details of the offer to discuss with the candidate.
