UNILORIN DINNER :

It was an highly amazing & embarrassing way to end the poor train of social activities of UNILORIN as the SUG dinner and awards night that we all thought would be a compensation to what we saw at SUG cultural day, ended up looking like a yoruba movie with no actor.

We waited till around 11.30pm and I was like is this a CAC church vigil or what, and when we went inside people were scantily seated as the speakers of the unpopulated hall kept sounding like it’s coming from a public school valedictory  service.

I pitied people who bought regular tickets so much, most of them must have gathered their last cards just to epp their school but they were arranged like church members during Sunday school and all they could do was just stare from afar like footballers who just drank rain water.

The people at the VIP were not left out, 3k for what? A bottle of wine and one chivita drink that tasted that diluted zobo. I pitied the musical and comic acts who kept looking like chicken laying eggs as their tables were just filled with UNILORIN table water as they gulped it down their throats like jumong’s horse after the battle with Gurguyeo.

Now the food, when I saw the usher bringing the tray even from the way she walked I knew something was wrong. The lady told me ‘am sorry the rice is small, what we have left is ofada rice with no stew’. The ugly looking jollof and fried rice smelt like a roasted cassava and the salad looked like mixed carpet grass. The  It was so painful that not everyone on the VIP even got food and some just left the food annoyingly as they could not eat it even it was their visa to heaven.

To those who didn’t come to the dinner, I want to say thank you for not wasting your money because it was more of just sharing awards, after young MC, Oyaz Baba and MC Peperenpe that tried their best in fixing everything, it was still as sour as garri ijebu with no sugar.

To those who thought they missed out because Jenifa came around, well lemme Gist you. She came up stage and as she normally does, dazzled the audience which was the peak of the event. She posed for pictures, thanked her fans, acted like Jenifa, lefty omo ghetto and funke Akindele. I believe jenifa wasn’t to blame tho cos, she didn’t even spend up to one Episode of one Jenifa diaries, she spent less that 20 Mins which was majorly used to take pictures with excos who didn’t bother about what people were going through, guess they were more bothered about their Instagram page than us.

The party that was supposed to at least last for 5 hours didn’t even last for 3 hours as the generator was disconnected and everyone was chased out of the hall by hungry looking armed military men who acted in captain America’s civil war. We all walked down, looking like israelites with no Moses as the only thing people could do was wish they didn’t come around

Thumbs up to personalities on campus who graced the event like Mc Timi Gold, M kido, d professor, ilefo Jesu, DJ Acemag, Luda, LTB, Tundex Mania, Kay Baba, Young MC, Oyaz Baba, Mc Talented, Mc Sambisa, Mc Peperenpe, Bigjohny, Sir dotlex, Wurafadaka and every brand on campus that came to support the movement
