I wish people would differentiate and say “Fuck the CCP” instead of simply “China”, which if you were a Chinese person would assume was about you. I teach Chinese kids online and you learn there is virtually no meaningful difference between Chinese kids and kids from any other country, kids are just kids. I fear what their lives will be like under the current regime as I don’t want any of my students to be looking over their shoulder for saying the “wrong” thing or face oppression, torture or execution. They are the biggest victims of the CCP. But if they hear Americans or others just blanketly say “fuck China”, they will probably assume it means all Chinese people which will only strengthen feelings of isolation and lead to more reliance on their corrupt government and misled nationalism. Sorry for the rant but I think it’s important how we use languange when trying to fight the fascists.
