If it’s a wider stereo image what you are looking for, I suggest you try the Ozone Imager Stereo Widener, recently released by iZotope. It is a free tool available for download on the iZotope site. An Ozone tool is an industry standard, so let’s have a quick look at its features.
Since we are always checking the mono compatibility of our mixes, it is crucial to do so when using a stereo imager – especially on extreme settings On the other hand, this tools can really add a wider and deeper sound to narrow mixes.
On the plugin interface we have 2 sliders on the right: Width and Stereoizer. The “Width” control widens (or narrows) the stereo image – going from -100 (mono) to +100 (double tthe original stereo image). The “Stereoizer” control adds color – introducing some degree of phase shift to the original signals.
The 3 monitoring modes (Polar Sample, Polar Level and Lissajous) allow different visual monitoring solutions.
