Amazfit Cheetah Pro vs Amazfit Falcon: Review

Design and Build

The Amazfit Cheetah Pro boasts a bezel made from Titanium alloy, conveying a professional and premium aesthetic.

The middle frame is crafted from fiber-reinforced polymer to keep the watch lightweight. Additionally, the Cheetah Pro uses a sweat-wicking nylon strap, which is 22mm wide and has an adjustable length of 150-220mm.

The watch weighs 43g with the strap and 34g without it, making it both stylish and comfortable for everyday wear.

On the other hand, the Falcon is a rugged smartwatch with a titanium unibody design. It is corrosion-resistant, has four control keys also made from titanium, and even boasts a MIL-STD 810G certification after passing 15 military-grade tests.

The Falcon is considerably heavier than the Cheetah Pro, weighing in at 64g, which might be a consideration for those seeking a lightweight device.

Display

The Cheetah Pro is equipped with a 1.45″ Always-On AMOLED display of 480×480-pixel resolution. It has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, ensuring that the on-screen information is always clear and readable, even under bright sunlight. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 3 for added durability.

Contrastingly, the Falcon sports a slightly smaller 1.28″ always-on AMOLED touchscreen with a 416×416-pixel resolution. The screen is protected by Sapphire Crystal Glass, which has a high hardness rating of 9/10, putting it just below a diamond on the hardness scale. This superior level of durability may appeal to users who frequently engage in high-intensity activities.

Health Features

Both watches are packed with a wide array of health and fitness features. These include sleep tracking, stress monitoring, blood-oxygen level monitoring, and heart rate tracking.

However, the Cheetah Pro has a slight edge as it can connect with heart rate belts through Bluetooth for even more accurate heart rate tracking.

Activity Tracking

The Cheetah Pro and Falcon both support 150+ indoor and outdoor sports modes. However, the Cheetah Pro can detect 25-strength exercises automatically, providing a bit more convenience.

Both watches also offer the AI-powered Zepp Coach, which provides personalized running plans and guidance based on the user’s performance and condition.

GPS and Navigation

GPS technology is where both watches shine. They feature dual-band GPS and support six satellite positioning systems for accurate tracking.

However, the Cheetah Pro offers MaxTrack GPS technology that promises to pick up almost 100% of satellite signals, reducing multi-path interference caused by tall buildings and trees.

Battery Life

The Cheetah Pro is powered by a 440 mAh battery, which takes two hours for a full charge and can last up to 14 days in a typical usage scenario or up to 7 days with heavy usage.

The Falcon, on the other hand, features a slightly larger 500 mAh battery that also takes two hours to charge but is advertised to last up to two weeks under typical usage.

Amazfit Cheetah Pro vs Amazfit Falcon: Which One to Choose?

Choosing between the Amazfit Cheetah Pro and the Falcon depends largely on your specific needs and budget.

If you’re a runner seeking a lightweight, feature-rich smartwatch with tailored training guidance, the Cheetah Pro, priced at $299.99, offers excellent value.

On the other hand, if you desire a robust, rugged smartwatch with premium materials, military-grade durability, and don’t mind a higher price tag, the Falcon, priced at $500, would be the right choice.

In summary, both smartwatches bring strong offerings to the table; your choice should align with your lifestyle, fitness goals, and budget.
