Metamorpho, created by Bob Haney and Ramona Fradon in 1965’s “The Brave and the Bold” #57, is an adventurer whose life takes a dramatic turn after being betrayed by his employer and exposed to a radioactive meteorite in an Egyptian pyramid. This transformation turns him into the powerful and unique Metamorpho, capable of altering his body into any element on the periodic table. While he hasn’t had his own standalone series, Metamorpho has made appearances in various DC comics and has been part of renowned superhero teams like the Justice League of America and Batman’s Outsiders.
This upcoming film marks Metamorpho’s first live-action portrayal, although he has appeared in several DC animated series, voiced by notable actors such as Tom Sizemore and Scott Menville. It’s interesting to note that Carrigan, known for his distinctive appearance caused by alopecia areata, has often been cast as villains. However, his breakout role as the empathetic gangster NoHo Hank in “Barry” has earned him multiple Emmy nominations for Best Supporting Actor.
