The album’s titular track has garnered attention from renowned musicians such as Taiwanese singer Jay Chou and China’s Hu Yanbin, formerly known as Anson Hu. Additionally, Cheung showcased his talent at a “30-hour charity famine”, a fundraising campaign in Hong Kong during the 1990s.

Cheung’s immense talent gained international recognition in 1996 and 1997 when he was crowned the bestselling Asian artist in the world by the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The Billboard Music Awards also recognized him as the most popular singer in Asia in 1994.

Cheung’s extraordinary fame was solidified in 2012 with a Guinness World Record for having the largest combined audience for a live act within 12 months. Truly a remarkable achievement.

On July 10, 2023, Cheung will celebrate his 62nd birthday, marking another milestone in his illustrious career.

During the “Jacky Cheung ½ Century World Tour” in 2010, he mesmerized audiences by performing for over 2 million people across 61 cities in more than 100 live concerts. Truly a testament to his global appeal.

Cheung’s talents extend beyond music to the realm of film. In the critically acclaimed Hong Kong action film “Bullet in the Head,” directed by John Woo Yu-sum, Cheung portrayed the character Frank. The movie follows Cheung, Tony Leung Chiu-wai, and Waise Lee Chi-hung’s characters as they seek a life of crime in wartime Vietnam.

Another notable film in Cheung’s career is Ann Hui On-wah’s “July Rhapsody,” released in 2002. He portrayed the main character, Lam Yiu-Kwok, which earned him nominations for various awards in Hong Kong and Taiwan, including best actor at the 2002 Chinese Film Media Awards, the 2002 Asian Film Critics Association Awards, and the 2003 Golden Bauhinia Awards. In the same year, he also released his 14th album in Mandarin Chinese and appeared in the Taiwanese miniseries “Love Scar.”
