On July 6, Kailyn Lowry, the former star of Teen Mom, made a surprising announcement on her podcast, Lowry’s Baby Mamas No Drama with Vee Rivera. During a conversation with guest Aurora Culpo, Lowry accidentally revealed that she had welcomed her fifth child in late 2022. Fans had already suspected something was up with Lowry and her family, so this revelation confirmed their suspicions.

As they discussed Culpo’s reality show, Lowry mentioned that she had watched the series while she was in the hospital giving birth to one of her kids. This information led fans to calculate that Lowry’s fifth child was born about eight months ago, aligning with the release date of The Culpo Sisters in November 2022.

Lowry briefly described an episode she watched, hinting that it may have been the third episode called “Consquences,” which aired on November 21. Although this doesn’t necessarily pinpoint the exact date of Lowry’s hospital stay, it provides a general timeframe.

Despite accidentally letting the news slip, Lowry didn’t provide any further details or reveal the gender and name of her new addition. She started dating Elijah Scott in May 2022, as confirmed publicly. Lowry’s previously known children are all boys, ranging in age from 2 to 13. Isaac is her oldest child from her ex, Jo Rivera. Lincoln is her nine-year-old son with ex-husband Javi Marroquin. Lux and Creed, who will be three in July, were shared with Chris Lopez.

Lowry’s departure from Teen Mom occurred in 2022, making her one of the longer-running cast members. She first appeared on 16 and Pregnant in 2010 and joined Teen Mom 2 in its inaugural season in 2011. Lowry, alongside Leah Messer, Chelsea DeBoer, and Jenelle Eason, was part of the original cast. However, she decided to leave after 11 seasons, stating that it was time for her to move on in an interview with PEOPLE magazine in May 2022. This decision aligned with her statement at the season 11 reunion that she had no interest in returning for another season. Since then, Lowry has been focusing on her three podcasts.
