Outerloop Games’ highly anticipated action-adventure game, Thirsty Suitors, released a captivating new trailer showcasing its stunning visuals and South Asian-inspired influences. The game is set to launch on November 2.

Introduced in 2021, the protagonist, Jala, returns to her hometown of Timber Hills after a difficult breakup. She must navigate the dynamics of the small town and confront the histories she thought she had left behind.

Through activities like skating at the local park, cooking, and engaging in turn-based battles with former lovers, Jala will strive to manage her demanding parents, reconcile with her exes, and repair broken friendships in time for her sister’s wedding.

Despite focusing on dating, Thirsty Suitors is not solely a dating game. As the developer explains, “there are no winners in a psychodrama battle with your third-grade boyfriend.” While players can ask Sergio, one of Jala’s exes, out, it is evident that Jala’s return marks the beginning of her personal journey to discover her true identity and navigate a turbulent phase in her life.

In an interview last year, narrative designer Meghna Jayanth expressed, “We want all kinds of players to enjoy our game, but it’s like inviting them into our home—take off your shoes at the door, be our guest, and experience our culture.”

Thirsty Suitors will be available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch starting from November 2.

Another outstanding game featured in the Annapurna Interactive Showcase was Bounty Star, a genre-defying experience set in the “post-post-apocalyptic” Southwestern United States.
