Call of Duty Cold War update today: Season 6 Patch notes LIVE for PS4 and Xbox | Gaming | Entertainment

New weapons, modes and Zombies maps are coming to Call of Duty Cold War today as part of the Season 6 update.

In total, five new weapons will be available to unlock throughout the coming weeks, with the main draw being the new Zombies experience.

Forsaken will bring with it the final chapter in the current undead saga, with more being planned for Call of Duty Vanguard.

This week’s Zombies map will include a big Easter egg mission which will help end the current story but leave plenty of loose threads for the next game.

This is all being planned for the official Call of Duty Season 6 release, which is scheduled for October 7.

Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty Cold War and Warzone Season 6 will start at around 5am BST, on Thursday.

Before that happens, a new Cold War update will be released on October 6, at around 5am BST, containing everything needed to begin the new season.

This will need to be installed by COD fans who want to start exploring the new Zombies map on October 7.

A message from Activision explains: “As seismic charges are triggered in WWII-era bunkers containing stockpiles of decommissioned German bombs, the stage is set for the final showdown.

“This, along with the epic conclusion of Black Ops Cold War Zombies in “Forsaken,” will all go down in Season Six of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, arriving on October 7 following updates to Black Ops Cold War on October 5 at 9 PM PT and Warzone on October 6 at 9 PM PT.”
