When Activision/Blizzard was purchased by Microsoft, many wondered when their library would join Game Pass. Diablo IV recently joined the service, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy seems to be next.

Enter the Dragon – Spyro Reignited Trilogy Up on Microsoft PC Store

Discovered by Twitter/X user HazzadorGamin, you can purchase Spyro Reignited Trilogy on the Microsoft PC storefront. Do not mistake this for the Xbox console storefront, as the game has been on there since it’s original release. When games typically release into Xbox Game Pass, the PC Game Pass client runs though the Xbox PC Storefront.

With Game Pass getting it’s first ABK game with Diablo IV, that release needed a work-around to launch on PC Game Pass. The game used BattleNet, so no native PC Game Pass SKU for the game was created. But with Spyro, one is being made.

Future ABK Games on Game Pass

The possibility of Spyro’s buddy, Crash Bandicoot, joining him on Game Pass is possible as well. And since releases like Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled never had a PC version, the game would require a native PC version to be playable on PC Game Pass.

I could see them putting in the effort to accomplish this, considering Xbox and Microsoft are aggressively pushing expanding their ecosystem. But will updated-versions of these ABK titles come to Series consoles?

Having 60FPS versions of the Spyro and Crash titles would be huge boons for Xbox players. As of right now, they do not run at that frame rate on PlayStation platforms either, giving them major value as Xbox first party titles if this were to happen.
