Warframe: Onos Build and Impressions

The latest update for Warframe, Dante Unbound has been out for a little under a week now and gave players a lot of new stuff to enjoy. From new rooms in the Entrati Labs. Dante himself, and even his signature melee weapon, Ruvox. There has been a lot of new stuff for players to sink their teeth into. But one thing that has captured my eye personally is the new Incarnon arm cannon, Onos. Coming off my initial thoughts of the Ruvox, I was not expecting much from Onos. However, this new Incarnon weapon can sit comfortably next to Phenmor, and the Laetum. But here is my build for it before diving into my experience with it!

Onos in Warframe Build and Impressions

To start things off, here are the mods I went for:

Next are the evolutions I went for in order:

Ok for starters, let’s go over the evolutions. The choices I made work hand and hand for both forms of the Onos. The extra reload speed and projectile speed help the normal form immensely. The reload speed buff also helps the transition into the Incarnon form. Where the extra status chance and the final evolution come into play for the build. Cascadia Flare is a very strong Arcane for this build. Considering the wind up to the beam for the Incarnon form constantly damages foes and can inflict fire status effects. The extra bonus damage really helps the full beam launch as a result. Everything else in the mod set up is fairly standard.

Now for the overall thoughts on Onos. I am surprised by this new Incarnon weapon in Warframe. The normal form hits very hard and feels good without the need of any recoil mods, hence why I did not choose from it in the evolutions. But the main draw is going to be its Incarnon form. The beam dishes out so much damage against foes in Netracells, Steel Path and even Archons. So much so that I am considering its damage output greater than that of the Laetum. If you have not gotten the Onos yet, consider this my recommendation. It is so worth that grind!

But this is my build and impressions of Onos in Warframe. When compared to the Ruvox? It is night and day, and it feels at home with Dante himself. I hope this build helps you, Tenno!
