PAX East 2024 is finally here. The lords from the Iron Lords Podcast and LOGNET are live once again on the show floor. One of the many games being previewed on the show floor this year is the highly anticipated Path of Exile 2. Check out our exclusive interview below.

The lords sat down with Chris (aka Octavian) from Grinding Gear Games where they discussed everything about Path of Exile 2.

Talking Up Path of Exile 2 during Pax East 2024

During the interview, they discussed the game’s extensive skill tree; the all-new class system featuring ranger, sorceress, and warrior; mouse or keyboard movement, and more.

Skill gems are making their triumphant return in POE2, along with support gems that will augment your skills. There will be between 50-60 skill gems and 100-150 support gems for players to experiment with and fine-tune their builds.

To add, every zone is expected to feature its own unique boss for players to take on.

Fortunately, any microtransactions will apply to both POE2 and its predecessor, which is a nice way to respect player purchases. Octavian and the lords went into the back-end systems that support POE 1 and POE2, and it shows the amount of love and consideration that went into creating the long-running ARPG.

Path of Exile 2 will launch its closed beta on June 7, 2024. The full release of the game is expected to be released sometime in 2025.
